Capturing Life's Moments
My name is Tony Callins. My interest in photography started as a child growing up in Birmingham, Alabama. Sports photography was my first love. I was mesmerized how the action was frozen by a well-timed photograph. My second love was family portraits. I enjoyed looking in family photo albums seeing pictures of family members. I noticed there were some family members we had no pictures of. They passed away before I was born or when I was very young. No one was around that took pictures. A strong desire developed in me to photograph as many family members as possible. I moved to Huntsville, Alabama in 1986. I bought my first point and shoot camera not long after I moved here. I then started taking pictures at family events. Such as birthday parties, reunions, holiday gatherings. In 2018 I purchased my first DSLR camera. I continued taking photos at family events. I then started taking pictures at the family events of friends. In 2021 I decided to start a photography business. I focus on family portraits, headshots, and event photography.
